Letter to patients to reopen
Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice, as you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable.
On a regular basis our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.
We made changes to enhance how we protect our patients and staff. Additionally, we used this time to give a new face to the office. You will see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. For example:
Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
We will ask you to fill out some forms online before your appointment.
We will ask you to call us when you arrive in the parking lot, and we will then call or text you when we are completely prepared for you.
Patients will be asked to not bring companion into the dental practice, unless they are parents or guardians of patients who are minors or are special needs patients. If someone will be accompanying you on your upcoming visit, please let us know in advance so we can take the adequate measurements.
You will be asked to bring your own mask and use provided hand sanitizer as you enter the office. Additionally, you will find sanitizer throughout the office for your convenience.
You will be greeted at the door by one of us, we will ask the same questions and will take your temperature and then you’ll be escorted to a hygiene or treatment room.
Once seated, you will be given a mouth rinse and ask you to swish for one minute.
You may notice that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. We Will be limiting the number of patients in the office. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
We installed sneeze guards on all of the counters at the reception area.
We are recording the temperature of each team member at the beginning of our work day.
Enhanced Personal protection equipment like face shields, gowns and mask for the team.
We are incorporating new equipment and protocols to reduce the aerosol created by the handpieces and the ultrasonic cleaning instruments.
Air management with HEPA air filtration continuously in the treatment rooms capable of removing particles smaller than the COVID- 19 virus and optimize the air ventilation.
Enhanced disinfection procedures of equipment and office equipment like keyboards, telephones, tablets, chairs, doorknobs, digital pens.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 831-424 3035 or visit our website at www.romielanedental.com.
Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.
Sincerely,
Dr. Soraya Cameron and Team
